A smooth transition in the Energy Industry

Many families in Alberta are dependant on the current energy sector for their livelihood. The Greens believe in involving everyone in the transition to a Green future, therefore:

The Green party will create a \'slush fund\' from current government energy (oil) revenues over the next few years to be used during the transition to renewable energy. This will ease people into jobs in the renewable, or clean oil sectors. This fund will be used to fund renewable energy development in Alberta, and employ people previously employed in the oil sector with this initiative.

This topic is also on a seperate page: Western Issues. This page may soon be removed.
