The AP namespace exists only to report the existence of a Associated Press news story, preferably as it breaks. Anything posted in this namespace must include a cite link to prove that there was really an AP news story by that name, preferably published by Yahoo News or truthout.org or some other known source. Reliance on wikinews is not acceptable.

The naming conventions of AP are, in a word, wrong, and violate those of international English, mediawiki, the Reuters:namespace and open politics itself. While a Reuters news story should be reported with exactly the same title as it was published with, e.g. Reuters:French PM unveils plans to help youths after riots, an AP story uses bad capitalization in titles, just as AP itself does, e.g.

This may change. However, it may subtly encourage the adoption of rational conventions by AP if the titles remain as they are, extremely difficult to cite inline.
