The term "War on Terror" or "War on Terrorism" is pure propaganda with no objective meaning.
The War on Terrorism was the term originally used by the United States government and its allies to justify actions claimed to be in defense of increasing homeland and base attacks by Al Qaida?. The term had originally been used by Ronald Reagan? in the 1980s but it achieved no currency until after September 11, 2001?. The parallel term:war on drugs? had caught on with similar global implications of a never-ending war in which the US government had unlimited power to interfere in global affairs.
