living document

A living document decribes a document that is freely editable on an on going basis and which obeys naming conventions and link ethics that are suitable for such an evolution, e.g. "if you see my name as the last edit then I approved this page" as for instance on Hayley Easto runs for GPO President.

Most pages in a wiki can meet this requirement, but so do other media for collaborative writing, such as a blackboard or whiteboard. There are conventions associated that say not to erase blackboards if they have do not erase or DNO on them and so on.

These are based on a common living ontology and are knit together in what is called a Living Ontology Web.
