ethics over etiquette

To put ethics over etiquette is a first step towards intellectual integrity. It is part as a process of growing some actual toughness and accepting politics as usual:

"To create a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere ... you must first get rid of those who are in fact *only* concerned with this, and not with creating an entity that can participate in tough debates or win actual elections. There are actual politicians ... who have won elections. You'd be well advised to listen to them and not to the sound of your own voice." - Craig Hubley.

Hubley also claims that no one who says they are "offended" nor "nice people" have any role in the political process, which he presents as being violent conflict over values - however de-escalated. See Efficient Politics for more.
