consent by edit

Some propose that to debate by edit implies another wiki best practice: consent by edit.

This implies that any user who edits a page consents with, or agrees to the whole content of the page, unless an edit comment states otherwise. The lengthier the page is, the less likely this is, and it is certainly not a best practice.

In practice, only a proper approve version stamp conveys legitimate agreement or commitment of an actual person, _signed? by them. If a unique role account? is used, it can be taken as approval in that role. If a role is shared by more than one person, such marks are inoperative and disallowed with open politics in force.
