blackberry

By 2006 LP will support the RIM?blackberry, OpenWave and Opera Mini as its main mobile internet UIs. Its preferred web browser?s will be Opera web browser and FireFox. Only the BlackBerry service is tied to a particular hardware device.

The current web service and top LP controls will have to somehow work when jammed into tiny spaces with text-only interfaces. All control verbs must be as short as possible since 50 words via blackberry is the most anyone can fit on the small screen.

The latest BlackBerry will have 64MB memory, a faster processor(external link) and more importantly:
  • native email attachment? support
  • a speakerphone?
  • GPS? support which suggests that the unit will ship with some sort of route-planning? software.
