• If you are working on an existing plank, edit the appropriate page from the list below.
• You may create a new pages (learn how) for any reason, but make to add links from all other relevant planks listed on this page.
• Scoping planks
  • Before starting a new plank (anything you would like to get approved by the platform 2005 assembly) consult your subcommittee chair?.
• Consult the party platform comparison chart and detailed linked guides to 2004 election press releases and positions taken to understand where the GPC stands relative to other federal political party platforms
• Writing the plank
  • Work within the IPA template that has been adopted for plank development - try to elaborate all issues before deepening any one too much with new arguments
  • Learn more about how to draft a plank
• Finishing the plank
  • Consult the list of policy terms, e.g. natural capital, and make full use of those, rather than close equivalents, in your writing - these are terms broadly accepted by those other than the Green Party of Canada and which will appear in say Trillian Instant Lookup
  • Name any platform proposals you define in your plank, e.g. Helping Parents Cope, as if they were actual acts of the legislature - consult with a legislator if you are unsure how acts are titled - add them to the list of platform proposals.
