Alexander Hamilton, co author of the Federalist Papers, helped frame the US constitution and the US financial system, stood for economic and social liberties under one centralized government. His most important contribution to the US Constitution may have been establishing the supremacy of the executive branch of American government over the legislative and judicial branches. Hamilton recognized that to be sucessful, the state required the support of the "aristocracy of wealth and talent."
