The Climate Action Network Canada organizes Canadian advocacy groups seeking to prevent or alleviate the dangerous and violent effects of climate change, on vulnerable communities in particular, e.g. the Inuit?.
It made a Declaration on Climate Justice and the Montreal climate Summit? at COP11?.
As of 2005-11 it was also working with ICLEI at COP11? on a declaration to parallel the US Mayors Climate Protection Agreement that could be signed by Canadian mayors and councillors. The working draft? is being edited at openpolitics.ca itself on page: 6C declaration
