A 311 service provides phone access to municipal services. It complements 211 service, 911 service?, and should only be undertaken once there is a comprehensive municipal statistics? database, e.g. Baltimore CitiStat.
Proposing direct Canadian federal government support for 211 and 311 service, preferably through a City Infrastructure Loan program, is part of the Green Budget Coalition.
